Mission Statement
Motorcycle Riders for Homeless Parolees housing program offer housing for families who are in crisis. The program was established to address the basic shelter and service needs of homeless families in Los Angeles and has been in operations for over seven years. Our current projects, activities, and accomplishments include but not limited to * Case Management/ Referrals to appropriate social services programs * Employment Search and Job Retention classes * Housing counseling and placement assistance * Life skills training * Transportation assistance * Life Skills Training Our mission is to prevent homelessness and to meet the needs of the homeless population in California that results from unemployment, underemployment, and related human-environmental issues and to foster the ideals of service, charity, and education and to promote self-determination through self-sufficiency. The implementation of these objectives shall be reflected in organizational programs that provide social, economic, educational services, which project the image of charitable and educational intentions through community action. To further the objectives of providing educational and charitable services the organization shall serve in an advocacy role to enhance the service of community programs for homeless individuals and families, by the way of volunteer task groups; and provide directional assistance to underprivileged men, women, families, and communities. To assist in carrying out these objectives, the organization shall render service to parolees regardless of race, sex, color, religious belief, disability, sexual preference or ethnicity
