ASK Academy: Founded in 2004 by Shakeel Ali, Educator, Entrepreneur, and Gun Violence Survivor, ASK Academy is a volunteer based organization and its primary and fundamental mission is to increase students’ retention and graduation rates; empowering them to stay in school, graduate, and to identify their right career paths. The focus is on: life/career planning, personal maturation, leadership development, academic achievement/study skills, healthy parenting, peace building, tutoring and career mentoring. The overall goal of the Stop Bullying System is decreasing bullying in the partner schools and promote a healthy and safe school environment and community. Promoting the leadership capacity of local youth to develop conflict resolution skills, anti-bullying strategies and ongoing support through group or individual peer to peer assistance to youth.
