Mission Statement

The Long Island School for the Gifted is a unique not-for-profit school for gifted and talented children from all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, which spans from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 9. LISG has been creating leaders in science, mathematics, and the general community for over 45 years, yet does not receive state or federal school funding. LISG is accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools and is a 501(c)(3) organization.
