THE GEORGE W BUSH FOUNDATION

Rooted in the guiding principles of President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush, the George W. Bush Presidential Center engages communities in the United States and around the world by cultivating leaders and advancing policies to solve today’s most pressing challenges. Located on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, the Bush Center houses the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum and the George W. Bush Institute. The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, our Nation’s 13th presidential library, is administered by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and preserves the official records and artifacts of the presidency of George W. Bush. Using the archives as its foundation, the Bush Presidential Library and Museum provides visitors an opportunity to better understand critical public policy issues and to gain insight into the presidency. Strong focus is also given to educating visitors to develop a civic awareness. The Bush Presidential Library and Museum include permanent exhibits, appropriate for a range of ages, which provide personal insight and historical perspective to a consequential period in American history. Special educational exhibits explore themes related to the presidency, the Bush Family, and other relevant topics. The Bush Institute is a nonpartisan public policy center founded in 2009 with the mission of advancing freedom by expanding opportunities for individuals at home and across the globe. It raises current and thought-provoking issues and builds programs to address the challenges facing our Nation and our world. The Bush Institute is committed to serious, independent research aimed at generating practical solutions to important public policy issues in the areas of Economic Growth, Education Reform, Global Health, Human Freedom, Military Service Initiative, and Global Women’s Initiatives.
