Mission Statement
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce to you The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, lovingly known as THON. THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. It is a forty-six hour, non-stop dance marathon held annually in February at the University Park campus. Since 1973, together with the help of dedicated volunteers and donors, Penn State has been raising awareness about childhood cancer. Year round, Penn State students raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. Penn State Berks benefitting THON is devoted and passionate about this cause. Our mission is to conquer pediatric cancer by providing outstanding emotional and financial support to the children, families, researchers, and staff of the Four Diamonds Fund at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. As the new executive board for Penn State Berks benefitting THON enters the fundraising year, we are making efforts to reach out to a wider audience of people and businesses in hopes of raising awareness about our cause. With your help, our goal of raising awareness and continuing to change children’s lives for the better is attainable and can be achieved. We would greatly appreciate a contribution of a gift basket, door prize, or monetary donation. Absolutely any contribution to our organization would be an amazing asset to helping us make this year truly remarkable. All proceeds from our events benefit the Four Diamonds Fund at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
