NETBALL AMERICA
Mission Statement
Netball America's aim is to encourage children and families to be physically active and maintain a healthy lifestyle, including people with disabilities. Netball addresses issues of inequality in sport, especially for those in low socio-economic areas, by opening doors to those who currently don't play sports. Netball America's global award-winning Be An Inspiration USA program helps underserved communities across the USA and globally since 2010, especially in providing women and girls opportunities to increase participation in sports, reduce obesity and develop life skills such as self-confidence, sportsmanship, leadership and accountability, along with physical and mental wellness. Join us as we take this program to the next level by introducing AI to help youth see the physical ability skills they possess and how they can relate to and try various sports. BAI® has impacted over 100,000 young people, mainly girls. Our results have consistently shown that physical activity has increased from 0-1 days per week to 3-5 days per week and that feelings of being overweight or negative self-image have dropped 35%. Hydration also increased and participants are now eating 25% more fruits and vegetables. 94% of participants have demonstrated the ability to positively react to difficulties, felt more confident and improved communication skills.
