JOURNEY FORWARD INC
Mission Statement
Journey Forward is a comprehensive exercise-based physical recovery program for people with paralysis. We are a 501(C) 3 non-profit organization, with a core mission to rebuild broken lives and restore shattered spirits by challenging our clients to hope for a future beyond that which their spinal cord injury has dealt to them. Regardless of a prognosis, Journey Forward believes that exercise is important to everyone. When one is able bodied, they benefit from every day functions such as walking. But, when one is confined to a wheelchair, it is important to maintain overall health (muscle growth, bone density, endurance, and cardiovascular /pulmonary health) through deliberate exercise. Living with paralysis is beyond devastating and Journey Forward hopes that working towards recovery can be an option for everyone.
