FAIRY GOODMOTHERS INC

Fairy Goodmothers is a 501(c)(3) organization, a recognized nonprofit by the Columbus Foundation, and a recipient of GuideStar’s Candid Silver Seal. We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to promoting confidence and self-esteem in Central Ohio (and beyond!) High School youth by providing formal dresses and accessories for prom to those lacking the means to personally purchase them. The students are then able to attend their Prom, taking part in an exciting, annual event while building self-esteem and confidence. Our Cinderella’s Closet Boutique opens every prom season for multiple days, welcoming high school students to select a prom dress and accessories. Since its inception, Fairy Goodmothers has outfitted over 18,000 students in Central Ohio and beyond with the help of generous organizations like yours. In 2024 alone we served 1,110 students through our Cinderella’s Closet Boutique. Every dollar raised helps - while we take dress donations year round, we stock dresses in sizes 00-36 and hope to add sizes 38 and 40, and need to purchase dresses in the harder to find sizes. A donation of $75 can fully outfit a student for prom with a dress and accessories, $500 can help cover paid advertising for Cinderella's Closet Boutique so all students know about the opportunity to find their perfect prom dress, and $1000 can fully stock size 38 and 40 dresses for 2025! Fairy Goodmothers also provides 2 scholarships for graduating seniors through the Peggy Buckles memorial scholarship. Scholarships are based on GPA, community service and essays, and the scholarship can be applied to any continuing education opportunity the student is seeking.
