HISTORIC CHICAGO BUNGALOW ASSOCIATION
Mission Statement
The Historic Chicago Bungalow Association (HCBA) assists bungalow owners with adapting and preserving their homes. HCBA works to create an awareness and appreciation of Chicago Bungalows as a housing choice for modern families, and to encourage rehab and restoration of Chicago bungalows, which in turn helps to strengthen Chicago bungalow neighborhoods. The Association offers a variety of resources, including grants for energy efficiency improvements, “how-to” seminars, architectural guidance for common bungalow rehab projects and guidelines for home improvement and restoration. Certifying a bungalow with the Historic Chicago Bungalow Association is the first step in accessing these financial incentives and benefits.
