YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU
Mission Statement
The Youth Service Bureau provides services to at risk youth between the ages of 11-24 who are abused, neglected, runaway, locked out, truant, on probation, experiencing crisis or trauma, and/or homeless. Services provided to the individual and their family members include crisis intervention, individual and family counseling, therapy, case management, advocacy, mentoring, shelter, after care, reunification services, outreach and information and referral to additional services not offered through YSB. Family members are also eligible for services. Our service area is Sangamon, Christian, Mason, Menard and Logan counties. The agency also provides services to the older adolescent population who is experiencing homelessness or is at risk of becoming homeless. These services are provided to youth ages 16-24 and their children. The service addresses the needs of the older homeless adolescent and young adult by providing transitional shelter, subsidized apartment living, life skills, GED and HS diploma attainment, employment, and general independent living skills.
