FISHING FOR LIFE
Mission Statement
Fishing For Life’s mission is to serve youth, family and community through fishing and outdoor programs. Our non-profit organization uses hands-on fishing events and mentoring programs to impact the lives of at-risk youth and families in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. Our target audience includes: inner-city youth, single-parent families, military families/kids who’ve lost a parent in the military, participants in MN Teen Challenge, JROTC, and youth referred to us by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Department, to name a few. Over the last 10 years, FFL has reached thousands of youth and hopes to continue to grow its positive impact in our community. Presently boasting 9 active programs and ministries, Fishing for Life has received wide support from national fishing organizations, military Yellow Ribbon communities, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Department, the Minneapolis Parks and Rec Board, DNR mentoring programs, urban ministries, suburban and urban churches, local retailers, professional anglers, and volunteers. In 2013, we utilized over 600 volunteers who logged more than 2,000 volunteer hours! Your charitable donation will help us continue in serving our community!
