Mission Statement
Free State Roller Derby (FSRD) is Montgomery County's only, and Maryland's largest, roller derby league! Founded in 2009, FSRD has been building our community in Rockville for more than 15 years! But we bring together members and fans from across Maryland - as well as DC and Virginia. We are 100% volunteer-run and a 501(C) (3) nonprofit organization. FSRD strives to provide an accessible way to empower skaters of all skill levels to learn and play the sport of all-women’s flat track roller derby, develop self-confidence, and increase fitness in a safe, supportive, diverse and welcoming environment.
