Above the Clouds brings joy, confidence, and hope through the wonder of flight to children and teens facing serious illness, disability, financial hardship, or other adversity. Our programs offer uplifting, one-of-a-kind aviation experiences that provide meaningful relief from stress and inspire youth—especially those who are underserved or disengaged—to imagine new possibilities for themselves and their futures. Through our signature programs, the Dream Flyer Program and the Aviation Discovery Program, we pair children with caring volunteer pilots, ground crew, and “joy makers” who make each experience safe, empowering, and unforgettable. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit based at Norwood Memorial Airport in Norwood, Massachusetts, Above the Clouds is powered by a dedicated community of aviation and youth development volunteers committed to lifting young people—literally and figuratively—above the challenges they face.
