Mission Statement
Cat Association of Topeka (C.A.T.) is a no-kill, non-profit cat shelter. We seek to: 1. Provide a safe environment to care for stray, abandoned, relinquished cats and kittens while they await adoption. 2. Offer options for finding homes for cats we are unable to shelter. 3. Increase the awareness of and educate the public regarding the following: a. Responsible pet care and guardianship, included, but not limited to, preventative healthcare and necessary vaccinations. b. Issues pertaining to pet overpopulation and the need to spay or neuter pets. c. Encouragement of community responsibility in animal welfare “overpopulation” issues, including feral cat management (Trap-Neuter-Return). 4. Foster a community of cooperation among all animal welfare organizations.
