Mission Statement
Mission Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas is a faith-based, nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire self-reliance, dignity and hope through the delivery of health and human services programs. Vision Our vision is to ensure that all people live in safety, with social, emotional, and physical well-being, spiritual fulfillment, justice, and hope. We do this through personalized housing, health, ministry, and human services that benefit people from very low-income households, across our five service regions—Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the Carolinas. Core Values Our mission is guided by our core values “Voice of Faith”: Visionary, One Body, Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, and Faith. Through our eight lines of service we provide critical care, support services, and hope to everyone and anyone in need regardless of religion, race, gender, or sexual orientation, and without requirements to participate in religious activities. Non-Discrinination and Whistleblower policies available upon request.
