Mission Statement

NAMI Maryland is a grassroots organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with mental illnesses and their families through education, support and. Our goals are to strengthen local community outreach about the mental health and physical health needs of individuals with psychiatric and behavioral health issues, reaching families, friends and support networks of individuals with psychiatric and behavioral disorders, de-stigmatizing mental illness to make it "safe" for seeking help, and to access treatment and medications for psychiatric and behavioral disorders.
