CENTER FOR DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES D-B-A CDS
Mission Statement
The Center for Developmental Services (CDS) is a special place where families can find multiple community services in one location for children and individuals with delays and disabilities. Often, children with diagnoses such as autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome require help from multiple service providers to address their life-long challenges. Rather than have these multiple services segmented throughout various locations in the upstate, CDS brings them together under one roof for streamlined efficiencies. While our partners provide clinical and legal services to children, our CDS staff members manage the physical plant operations, community outreach, and facilitate collaboration in treatment among the clinical providers. We also provide bilingual support to Spanish-speaking families and strategically plan for the growth, service gaps, and collaborative funding of our partnership as a whole. This unique model of coordinated services is the only one of its kind in the nation.
