SECRET FAMILIES OF JAY COUNTY INC

Mission: To bring the Jay County Community together as a whole. Working together gathering resources and volunteering our time, we can provide Christmas to families right here in our own county that otherwise may not be having a Christmas this year. Additional Information: 100% of the monies raised is used to provide Christmas to families in Jay County. Each family receives presents for entire family, a Bible (family and children's - Spanish versions available), a bag of household goods (toilet paper, soap, etc.), gift card to help with Christmas dinner, and a live Christmas tree and decorations if the family does not have one. Our Event Day is held the 2nd Saturday in December when volunteers from the Jay County Community come together to shop for these families, wrap the gifts, and deliver them to the families. The families are unemployed, domestic violence, homeless, or suffering from an illness just as a few examples and often the gifts delivered are the only presents the family will have for Christmas. And at the end of our Event Day…volunteers, now forever united as family, come together to tell their stories of how their lives were touched and how in one day so many families knew that they were loved and cared for by their community. Our main fundraiser is an auction to sell items to raise money for Event Day. Thank you
