Mission Statement

Truly Valued, founded by Shavonne Sams in 2014, is a compassionate organization dedicated to assisting at-risk youth and families in Manatee and Sarasota Counties, FL. Our mission is to promote positive self- esteem, education, confidence, and character among youth and families. Our programs focus on fostering character and confidence, encouraging education and community service, and empowering participants to avoid harmful activities such as crime, drugs, teen pregnancy, and human trafficking. To ensure program success, we collaborate with knowledgeable experts experienced in delivering effective curricula. We also partner with local law enforcement agencies, schools, and community centers to reach those most in need of our services.
