JEANS ANGELS
Mission Statement
The mission of Jean’s Angels is to serve as a resource to the community and bring joy, wholesomeness, compassion, and essentials to the life of anyone who needs it. Our organization was recognized as a 501(C)3 in 2015. It includes a governing structure of a Chief Executive Officer and a Board of Directors. The unfortunate reality is that anybody can be one step away from being homeless. Our primary goal is to provide Mobile Outreach Services throughout the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Our Mobile Outreach focuses on meeting the needs of vulnerable and underserved populations. We provide a wide range of services to meet these needs, which include food insecurity (food pantry), clothing needs (clothing giveaways), hygiene and laundry (mobile shower and laundry trailer), special medical needs for youth and adults (examples are chairs for mobility or comfort, weighted blankets for autism spectrum children). We engage in wraparound services to break the generational cycles which may limit upward mobility. To achieve this, we offer annual scholarships to underprivileged Lowcountry youth, and referral services for housing and mental health for adults, youth, and families. We served 14,600 directly in 2022, which included 5,500 children. Our mission and services make a difference in someone’s life each and every day!
