TAKOMA CHILDRENS SCHOOL INC
Mission Statement
To provide a nurturing and safe environment for children ages 2 to 5 years of age that values each child and family while facilitating optimal social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. We are committed to creating a TCS family that reflects the diverse community in which we live. We are a child-led, play-based program that is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. TCS creates a place for children where spontaneous and joyful experiences abound and where teachers stimulate and embrace each child's desire to learn. Play and skill-building are the cornerstones of the curriculum. Each activity and learning center is designed to support children's ideas and their developmental growth.
