Mission Statement

RSA was founded in 2011 in response to the limited resources and youth empowerment programs in the 77045 and 77047 area. The mission of RSA of Dance & Performing Arts is to provide quality arts, education, mentorship, and experiences to underserved youth ages 3 and up. Some experiences include providing authentic performance opportunities, participating in community service projects, leadership development, and promoting academic excellence. Youth receive mentorship from college alumni and professional artists in their fields to help inspire their journey. Our mission is centered around African American communities and other communities of color that have been historically disenfranchised. We bring communities together through creative experiences in health and wellness initiatives and provide safe outlets for youth to grow and become leaders of the next generation.
