HUNTERSWORLD

At its core, HuntersWorld, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, is a teen peer mentoring program – created and driven by teenagers. Approximately 1 in 5 teenagers suffer from a mental health disorder, most commonly depression and anxiety. Especially in today's post-pandemic environment, teenagers are facing an unprecedented amount of pressure and stress. Left unchecked, these mental health issues can lead teens to develop harmful coping strategies and dangerous choices such as violence, substance misuse and even suicide. HuntersWorld aims to fight this crisis among our teens by destigmatizing mental health issues and teaching teens to talk about their challenges with each other. Recent studies show peer mentoring has a measurable positive impact on self-esteem, building relationships with adults, teen’s attitudes towards school and many other beneficial outcomes.
