NUESTROS ALIMENTOS

Nourish LA (Nuestros Alimentos) is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to help cultivate a vast network of partnerships to ensure food is not wasted and people do not go hungry. Each week we collect excess food from farms, community trees, gardens, restaurants, and supermarkets that we distribute to hundreds of in-need Angeleños. All excess green waste is diverted from landfills, where it would have created methane, to animal husbandry and green spaces (compost). In the past three years, we’ve diverted four million pounds of food from going to waste, fed over a quarter of a million people, and had over 3,000 volunteers log over 12,000 volunteer hours in support of our mission.
