Mission Statement

Firefighters commit to serving their community during the most challenging crises. However, as their roles expand in our communities, so too have the rates of cancer, injuries, and other diseases among firefighters. Cancer is particularly spreading through the fire service like wildfire, affecting our firefighters at an alarming rate. The Local 493 supports the over 2,800 firefighters across the Phoenix, Tempe, Glendale, Peoria, Chandler, and Surprise Fire Departments. The United Phoenix Fire Fighters Association via the 493 Foundation serves those 2800 individuals and their families. We are dedicated to providing support when our firefighters need it most. Proceeds directly support firefighters and their families in need.
