Mission Statement
The Staten Island NAACP Youth Council is a dynamic group of young leaders committed to advocacy, empowerment, and community change. Our mission is to inform youth of the issues affecting African Americans and other racial and ethnic minorities; advance the educational, economic, social, and political status of our communities; foster appreciation for the contributions of the African Diaspora; and develop intelligent, effective, and courageous youth leadership.
