Mission Statement
WPNS, our non-profit preschool, has served the surrounding communities for over 6 decades. Based on the cooperative model, we believe that the best education for young children results from an active partnership of parents, teachers and children. When our parent volunteers bring their unique skillsets into the classroom they become invested in their child’s education and better connected to their community. WPNS also believes fully in the importance of play, as it is the vehicle through which learning and innovation occurs for children. When they are allowed to follow their own curiosities, children have been proven to meet age-appropriate milestones and develop a deep love of learning. Both of these philosophies set up WPNS grads for a lifetime of success in and out of the classroom. Our coop model also allows us to fulfill our mission of keeping tuition affordable without sacrificing quality of care.
